2024 Tamworth Regional Council Election

TRRRA has no affiliation with any political party. Our mission is to support residents and ratepayers within the Tamworth Regional Council area with regional and local government issues.

As a community service, TRRRA has created Meet the TRC Candidates Facebook and a webpage. The purpose of these pages is to provide residents and ratepayers with information about all candidates running for Tamworth Regional Council during the 2024 Local Government Election.

  1. What is your understanding of the current financial situation of the Council?
  2. How would you propose to become better informed on the Council’s finances in order to make sound decisions?
  3. How would you work to improve transparency and accountability in Council decision-making? Please explain your commitment to openness and transparency, and what it means to you, and how you would enact your beliefs.
  4. How do you plan to ensure you are representing the interests of the broader community, including surrounding villages?
  5. What specific steps would you take to verify information and conduct due diligence before making major decisions on behalf of the Council?
